DOCUMENTARY: FROM LEAD TO GOLD - PORTRAIT OF JIM RIMMER
• From Lead to Gold is an independent documentary that follows the creation of a handcrafted book, Tom Sawyer, and its maker, Jim Rimmer. Through a compilation of interviews and research over four years, this self-funded HD film captures the spirit of an extraordinary man who devoted over fifty years of his life to type, graphic design and letterpress printing. This film explores how Jim’s undying passion for old world craftsmanship persevered in a modern day world with heavy demands for cheaper and faster mass production.

These photographs are taken from an antiquing / flea market blog I co-founded in 2009. The blog consisted of a wide range of narratives from collecting cameras to restoring antiques to exploring local garage sales – antique adventures that were had all along the west coast of Canada and the USA. The photos were post-processed to give a vintage feel and designed with a clean feel to emphasize the photography
